Ipanema Solutions Assists in Distribution Leader's Tech
Ipanema Solutions Assists in Distribution Leader's Tech Sherwood Foods picked Ipanema to handle it's CommunicationsAnn Arbor, Michigan - August 28, 2007: Sherwood Food Distributors, one of the largest wholesale distributors of meat and poultry in the United States, has chosen Ipanema Solutions to implement an Avaya VoIP system for their new Detroit headquarters and distribution center. After working with Sherwood Foods to understand their needs, Ipanema Solutions designed a VoIP solution that would work for the company in Detroit and can be scaled up to Sherwood's eleven other facilities along with supporting its growing work from home staff . The business solution consisted of a complete VoIP communications system with unified messaging by Avaya, installed in their Detroit, Michigan, headquarters and their Phoenix, Arizona information systems office. Ipanema Solutions was able to integrate Sherwood Foods' existing Sprint MPLS network, saving further time and investment in a different system. Advantages to this design include Sherwood Foods ability to distribute VoIP phones to home office workers, who will now be able to utilize the corporate network as if they were in the facility. These work-from-home users will be able to four digit dial to any other user on the Sherwood network. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
