June 2011 Ipanema Solutions Streamlines Network Infrastructure at Four Points by Sheraton – Milwaukee North with HP Procurve Converged Network Ipanema Solutions has migrated the Four Points to a converged network from HP Procurve. This migration streamlines the number of physical networks that hotel must support from 7 down to 1. This reduces the amount and diversity of equipment that the hotel must support. During this process Ipanema replaced the existing switches from Cisco and Dlink with HP Procurve switches. The hotel was able to go from 12 switches to six with the new converged infrastructure. The new converged network supports the hotel’s backoffice and sales computers, telephone system, property management system, restaurant and lounge point of sale system, guest Internet, meeting room Internet and surveillance system.
